I married as you might remember before I graduated High School. I divorced about 10 months later. I remarried and had three children, and I have 5 grandchildren and one on the way. My oldest daughter is 35, my son is 34, and my youngest daughter is 30. My grandchildren range in age from 4–17 years old. I work for Raytheon Missile Systems (formerly Hughes Aircraft) here in Tucson, Arizona. I moved to Tucson in 1980. I love the hot weather. I am not married at the time, nor do I plan to be. Well, that's about it for now. Please let me know about the plans for the reunion.

We are living in Orange County in the town of Yorba Linda. Debi and I will have been married for 36 years on August 2nd. We met in Alexandria, Virginia, while I was stationed at Ft. Belvoir. We were married in Vicenza, Italy, by the vice-mayor of the town. We have 3 children, Tonya Pittington 35, Kelsi Baker 33, and Jacy Armbruster 30. All of our children have children, so we have 6 grandchildren, 2 boys and 4 girls; the oldest will be 11 in September 2008. Our two daughters and five of the grandchildren live nearby in Anaheim and our son lives in Everett, Washington, with his wife and son. Tonya is a high school science teacher and coaches the softball team. Kelsi is a pre-school teacher, and Jacy just left the ministry to try his hand at law enforcement at Everett PD. More

I attended Covina High from 64 to 68. Although I moved to Oregon before graduation, I had a lot of great friends back then. After leaving Covina, I joined the Marine Corps and spent a year in Viet Nam. Holding down several jobs, warehousing, truck driving I carried on until I became a barber for ten years. Although I also entertained a 3-decade opiate habit, I have now been clean for a year and I am finally free. So, at 55 yrs old I've been recognized at 100% service connected which allows me to have a comfortable retirement. More

I can't believe it will shortly be time for a 40 year reunion! We really can't be that old, can we?

I am teaching in Traverse City, Michigan, and loving it. I am married, with five children. My four daughters are pretty much grown up and off in the world - Molly is 26, Laura is 24, Paige is 22, and Alexandra is 21. Our son, Tiernan, is now 9, and keeps me young. He's in fourth grade at TBCS - Traverse Bay Community School in Traverse City. My husband Shawn McGrew is a builder - times are pretty slow right now. We are happy and healthy and all doing well.

Keep me in mind for the reunion. I think we would love to travel to LA. My brother and sister still live in California, and we visit about every other year.

Things have not changed for me professionally since the last reunion (98?) as I am still pleased to be the Recycling Coordinator for the City of Glendale. Otherwise, I went through a divorce in 2001, finished raising my youngest daughter at home till she graduated and left for Humboldt State in 2003, remarried in 2003 to Bonnie, a high school teacher, and am now the stepfather to 16 year-old Glendale College student Amber and 11-year old Ian. Great to hear from you and get some news about other Covina folks. I attended the 30 year reunion but thought it was a little disappointing -- maybe too formal a setting and not a great turnout.

It's hard to believe we are closing in on 40 years. I don't feel that old.........on most days. I have been at the same place of employment for almost 31 years—San Bernardino County Dept. of Children's Services. It's been a great place to work. I came here after graduate school as jobs in Social Work were scarce at the time. I didn't think I would stay long but it was an interesting job. I started as a social worker in Adoptions and am now the Director of the dept. Who would have thunk it? I have never married but I adopted a daughter almost 14 years ago. She is now 17 and driving me crazy as any good teen-ager should.

A picnic or daytime casual event might be more fun as a 40th. It might be fun to include a couple of classes before and/or after us to get a better turn out. I keep in touch with Bruce Selway and his sister, MaryAnn, Art Giser, and Cathy Love (now Wyatt) fairly regularly.

Like a few others, I left Covina High at the end of our junior year. My family moved to Alaska, where I graduated from Dimond High School. The next 13 years I played, skied, owned & operated a hardware store in Girdwood, Alaska, and restored a 40-foot wood sailboat. My first marriage was not until I was almost thirty, with Ken dying of cancer shortly after we were married. Over the next few years, I completed my BEd in elementary education and my Masters in Special Education. I remarried during this time—26 adventurous years with Tom Macklin.
